What is the best developer program for use to develope asp.net websites?

I'm a novice in this field.
I have some experience with Macromedia Dreamweaver. I was wondering if I can use this software for that.The newer versions of Dreamweaver allow you to create ASP.NET applications. Unfortunately I don't have any experience using Dreamweaver for this purpose.

I perfer using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003.

Also there is a free development environment specifically for ASP.NET called ASP.NET Web Matrix.

yes you can use dreamweaver but it is better to use Web Matrix and the best would probably be Visual Studio- but you could also use notepad if you wanted...
