What is State-of-the-Art software development ?

What is State-of-the-Art based website development ?

Thanks in advance.

Hamlin Stephen

Hi,

take a look at the explanationi of the dictionary:http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/state%20of%20the%20art.

I mostly see this in advertisements for some product and of course when someone advertises (s)he mostly wants people to think that it's super/great software that one can't live without.

Grz, Kris.

Hi,

maybe you will find a few useful articles here (not only ASP.Net):

HTH,

Hi,

I appreciate your help. Still I am not clear how state of art software development differs from conventional methodology. People are only saying that it is advance technology. That is true that some companies claims that their product is developed or is state of art.

Thanks,

Hamlin Stephen

Hi,

no it's mostly just marketing talk. If a company tries to sell something you don't expect them to say it's total crap. No they say it's the best money, your money, can buy so they call it state of the art.

Grz, Kris.

The highest level of development, as of a device, technique, or scientific field, achieved at a particular time (Dictionary.com);

It is a phrase that they use to show they are using the latest technologies and techniques. It does not mean that if you use .net or some other things, you are doing a state-of-art development. It just something to show off their methods. You can not learn how to develop a state-of-art software in any place, because it's mostly for marketing and selling their products.

So Don't bother yourself if there is a software development methodology that you don't know. It's just for show off.

Good Luck,

Hi,I am marking the first post which pointed out that it is just a marketing technique as answer. Thank you paradisonoir for confirming it. Thank you all,Hamlin Stephen
